In Memory

Brian Devlin

Brian Devlin

Brian William Devlin, passed away in Colfax, California on September 26, 2016 at the age of 63. He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Isabel Devlin; sister, Josie and brother, James. He is survived by his children, Kevin Devlin and Kirsten Warner-Davies; brothers, Phillip, Frank, John and Robert Devlin, sisters; Susan Styer, Maureen Orcino; and numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends. A finish carpenter with San Francisco Local Union #22 for over 30 years, Brian loved working with his hands and was a gifted furniture maker. When not working he loved to fish, hunt and prospect for gold. Brian was most alive when outside in nature or out on lake Sonoma. A Fisherman's Prayer I pray that I may live to fish, until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast, then I most humbly pray: When in the Lord's great landing net, and peacefully asleep, That in His mercy I be judged, big enough to keep. We know you have Gone Fishin', and we will miss you. Services will be held at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church in Millbrae on Friday, February 17 at 11am.

Brian and I shared a hospital room in the late eighties. I had knee surgery, but poor Brian was dealing with a stubborn kidney stone. Very painful as it was stuck in the least desirable place. He was receiving a drip morphine treatment. I was getting injections. Pretty out there conversations about high school! Glad to hear he enjoyed his craft and his outdoor adventures. RIP Brian.

To all Brian's family & friends condolences.

I remember Him from school days as a kind & friendly young man.

Amazing that our country home in Alta Sierra is so close to where Brian settled.
